Authentic News Compass welcomes pitches that teach readers a durable way to examine news claims, sources, evidence, context or uncertainty. Contributions should be clear, measured and useful beyond one passing headline.
What to pitch
Propose an explanatory piece, a careful comparison, a useful account of a news-reading convention, or a close look at a common misunderstanding. A strong idea has one central question, a clear reader benefit and a scope that can be handled without overstating what the available material shows.
How to shape a proposal
Send a short summary of the idea, the main point you would help readers understand, why it matters, and any relevant sources or examples you expect to use. Explain unfamiliar terms and keep the distinction between evidence and interpretation visible. Do not send confidential material or assume that a pitch has been accepted.
Where to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial reason for writing. Include enough detail for the idea to be assessed, but do not submit a complete article unless requested. The publication may edit accepted work for clarity, accuracy and fit.
Good reading begins with a careful question
A clear account makes room for what is known, what is claimed, and what is still unclear. Reading well means keeping those distinctions in view.
